No Hockey??

This just in....its been finalized, there will be no 2004-2005 hockey season. The players' union couldn't accept the salary-cap that was offered and now the NHL has the honor of being the first major sports league in North America to have canceled an entire season. No Stanley Cup? That hasn't happened since 1919 and that was due to a flu epidemic. What's next?

On a lighter note...Its almost here...Spring Training!

So I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day. I actually had a good day, mostly due to the fact that my little sister, Chana, turned 16!!!

Do you have an extra $2,500 laying around? Fark.com did and they get to rename the Fleet Center for a day. Thats great for Fark.com, not so great for the Fleet Center or those easily offended. Man Ill be there to take that picture.

Another Day...another $.50

Man work has been so incredibly crazy these last few weeks. The deadline is drawing near and the pressure is really starting to build. I finalized the layout and design of the websiteand tomorrow I get to start the whole deconstruction of the mockup and actually build the site. Only a few more weeks til deadline and project completion and then I can relax...a little bit.

So I painted my nails the other night. Yeah go figure, I dont paint my nails...ever...Im a clear polish kinda girl. I do however really dig black polish. I figured eh what the heck. So I painted my nails black and wouldnt ya know it they have already started chipping! I touched them up tonight and I have just noticed as Im typing another one has chipped!

So yesterday I went to the movies with some friends and we saw Sideways. Its a Fox Searchlight Film...that actually tells you alot. They put out Napoleon Dynamite, Garden State and Waking Life. All very eclectic character study type movies..all of which I really enjoyed. So back to Sideways...its about two old friends who set off on a road trip prior to ones wedding "only to veer dizzily SIDEWAYS into a wry, comedic exploration of the crazy vicissitudes of love and friendship" Main characters are played by Paul Giamatti (love him as the blue guy in Big Fat Liar) and Thomas Haden Church from the USA TV series Wings. The characters complimented each other really well and I thought these two were the perfect actors for the part. This movie is based on a novel by Rex Pickett...think I might just have to pick it up. So yesterday I also watched the movie Go. Which I had seen before. So the drug dealer in the movie is played by Timothy Olyphant and man let me tell you last night it was driving me crazy as to what I last saw him in. Then it dawned on me....The Girl Next Door. He played the same sleazy bad type of guy in both movies. Whew glad I figured that out.

So Hello Kitty turns 30 and Sanrio decides to celebrate with a crop circle.

Mad Magazine.....man need I say more. I so dig that mag. Check out this site....this dude has scanned in all the cover of Mad Magazine that have ever existed, going all the way back to 1954!

Last thought.....can I say "So" anymore in one blog? Geez!

IDIOT!

So in the great words of Napoleon Dynamite....IDIOT! Yeah thats what I told myself yesterday when I subconsciously managed to log into my old blog yet consciously thinking I was logging into my current blog. Well to my suprise the content was totally different, the layout had changed. I figured man someone must have hacked into my blog and jacked it up. I read some of the entries and thought that they were hard core making fun of me to top it off. Yeah come to find out its stuff I wrote about myself three years ago. Man I almost pissed my pants when I realized what I did. I fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. I think chacha feel off her chair when I told her about it.
IDIOT!

So if you havent heard about it yet, go check it out. Goggle Maps Its still in its Beta, testing, mode but man it totally rocks. Its got a great layout. Pritty accurate directions, unlike some map searches we know. The graphics are awesome, you can actually read the street names. Theres alot more interactiveness with Google Maps...and for you geeks out there the underlying technology used is impressive.

Ok so I missed a few days and the last few entries have been not so festive...so ill make it up...heres another random thoughs entry....

• Patriots Rolling Rally. I didnt call in sick this morning to attend the rally, although I am still incredibly sick, but it seemed every kid in Boston did. Seriously why didnt they just give the kids the day off? Did anyone except the teachers and principals actually go today?

• Nor'easter! Im stoked another 6-9 inches of snow coming in on Thursday. ooooo time to prep the shovel. *&!X$#@!!

• So Virginia is trying to pass a law that will state that anyone who exposes their underpants will recieve a $50 fine. Yeah good luck toting that law to the high school chickies who wanna show off their thongs. And yeah, they said "underpants" on the news.

• Popeye, gay? Man this one is funny.

• International Association of Exorcists and the most senior exorcist for the Vatican...I didnt know such a thing really existed.

Can you say Dynasty? The Patriots score their third title in four years after their 24-21 victory over the Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX. GO PATS!!! So now the important question is....whens the parade, and more importantly will I be able to get out of work to attend!

Today was a complicated day to say the least. My highlight of my work day was my Starbucks Esspresso Double Shot that I had at 3 o'clock with my lunch that I ate at my desk. To top it off the president is on tv, which means NO ALIAS! We got one not so happy Cheryl on our hands here. Blech!

Veering....

So dictionary.com says this about veering:

• To alter the direction of; turn: veered the car sharply to the left.

I just wanted to clarify that for some out there *cough*chacha*cough* who seem to not know the meaning of the word.

Also you eventually have to leave the rotary, that is of course unless you continue to say "Look kids, Big Ben!" and yes sometimes traffic lights are located at the corners of the street and not hanging overhead.
