Way too long! The tornado called life just came in a sucked me up and spit me back out all tattered and torn. The one thing that set it all off was the move, as i mentioned in my last post. What a stressfull time that was. Luckily I have a great support system of family and friends who have helped me through this entire mess and now things are back on the up and up. Yay! My roomies and I have found, and somewhat settled into, a great place. Its new and clean and in a great location. As soon as we get everything squared away, Ill make sure to post some pictures.

Speaking of pictures....Ive gotten way behind on posting pictures to my online photo album. Well Im finally all caught up and everything is posted, including the late night dance party pictures from when Swaney came to Boston. Not sure what everyone has seen so just go to the main page and check em all out!

Grab some popcorn, sit back and get ready for a few laughs! Well the last few weeks have been no different.

If you haven't been reading, shame on you!, I set a goal to create an illustration every week for Illustration Friday . My goal was to do this until my 30th birthday in October. Which would give me about 10 weeks of Illustrations. Well needless to say, after week 3 life hit me like a ton of bricks and it has been downhill since then.

I've had a couple going aways, a new project, work was insane and two concerts (of which I will soon be posting photos and video of) one here and one in Florida. Doesn't sound like all that much does it? Your probably thinking ok well even with all that going on, surely you could bust out a couple simple illustrations? Actually, no I couldn't. Why? Well because on top of all of this I received a phone call from my landlord saying that they would like to sell the house and we have 30 days to GET OUT! Man in that instant I felt like Snoopy in the movie Snoopy Come Home when he tries to go to the library and they just keep yelling at him in that deep voice "NO DOGS ALLOWED!". This was also parodied in the Family Guy episode Brian Goes Back to College

But chin up, all hope is not lost! I went online with one of my roommates and came to the realization that there definitely is a good chunk of places available! Whew! Now if only I can scrape up the cash to pay for the move Ill be all set ;) So instead of spending free time creating illos I've been spending it on Craigs List. But I wont sit here and complain about it because my roommate already has and instead of wasting my free time writing about it ill just leave this handy dandy little link for you to check out what he had to say about it right here.

Ok so enough of the whining, back to me! In an attempt to regain control of my goal I'm going to make one small exception. I mean it really is about completing the goal and not necessarily how you complete the goal, or at least in this case it is. So I am posting Illo #4 out of 6. Topic = Play. Its one I did in pastels on newsprint. I was really pleased with the way texture on the guitar came out. Most of you who know me know I'm a digital girl and cant really draw all that well. So when I do its really an accomplishment. Let me know what you think of it. Also...I will be working on this weeks current topic which is run and then hopefully I will work on week #5 whos topic was match. I'm really looking forward to that one because I have a great idea that I cant wait to implement!

So here it is #4 out of 6. Topic: Play

IlloFriday: Capture

Im 3 for 3!

When I first saw capture, I thought of a jungle or flag football. I took both ideas and started to work out some sketches but nothing seemed to feel right, nothing jumped out at me. Then the idea of someone capturing someones heart came to mind and it was perfect. Only problem now is that I had this vision in my head...and when I have such a clear vision I tend to get frustrated when my illo doesnt come out that way. I worked pretty hard on this and am happy with the way it turned out.

IlloFriday: Clean

So Im 2 for 2 with 8 to go! I dont plan on stopping once my birthday hits but I need to give myself a countdown, aside from my birthday that number gives it more substance for me, something to aim for.

So on to the illo....this weeks topic is clean and when I think of clean I think of the smell of oranges, clean laundry/soap, and for some reason white fluffy clouds in a crisp blue sky. So I decided to incorporate all of these elements into one piece. I orginally wanted to have just a couple large reflective soap bubbles over the text but I had a really hard time finding a good tutorial to create the right kind of bubbles. Anyone know of any good ones out there for photoshop? So after all its mant phases, this is the final piece I ended up with. Im suddenly feeling the need to go do some laundry ;)

IlloFriday: Opposites

Welcome back to me! I know its been a great long while since I've last posted and with no really good excuse as to why. What I can say is that this post comes with good intentions. I will be turning 30 in two months. Two months, what a great time frame for me to set some new goals and get some things accomplished. This post is part of my first goal: Post an illo every week. As most of you know I tend to get caught up in the daily rat race and then attempt to have a social life to counter balance the endless hours spent at work. In all of that time, I've never made enough time for my art. This is probably one of the more difficult goals I've chosen to accomplish but will be the most rewarding. I cant guarantee that each piece will be 100% complete but at least I will attempt something every time! Id love for you guys to stop by and let me know what you think...your critiques always encourage me to do more work and make each piece better than the last!

IlloFriday: Tea

So heres my post for this weeks Illustration. Pandora will put together a radio station made of songs that hold similar qualitites to the one you originally specified. I made time and managed to bust out an illo this week. So initially I wasnt really enthusiastic about the topic this week. Im seriously allergic to cats, and therefore not a huge fan, but also this topic just didnt inspire me. Until at some point, it struck me. I remember when I was younger I would watch Mark Kistler's Imagination Station with ChaCha and we would learn to draw cartoony things for hours. One thing I learned was to draw this cat. Ive always just loved it and my first reaction to drawing a cat is always this one. Im actually quite pleased with the way it came out.

Get your pics in....

So I know its been a crazy long while since Ive last posted...Jordan dont even say it!! Im on the fence about it right now, I think if I play around with it some more it will flow more smoothly. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Im sure Chana will throw in her two cents ;)

Walk the Line

So if you havent seen it yet, you need to! There obviously wasnt a lot of golfers on my flight because there was only a chuckle or two, including my own. The best part though was listening to the lady behind me ask her husband what he meant followed by him explaining it. This incident reminds me of the time I was flying back to Boston and a big Red Sox game was on and the pilot would chime in over the intercom and tell us the weather, what we were flying over, followed by the score of the game and a "Go Red Sox". Cant wait to hear what the pilot will have to say on my next flight.

My new toy...

So after almost two years of being ghetto fabulous with a broken digital camera, I gave in and finally bught a new one, a Nikon Coolpix 5200. Man those fuschia ones rock I must admit, but one of the joys for me was having a bubble land and not pop and being able to see the rainbow of colors reflected in the bright sunlight. Like I said, I'm just not sure what to think. Guess Ill be picking up a bottle in February 2006 when they become available for purchase. So the pics below are the albums that ive posted, click on the picture and it will take you right to that album. Im going to be adding new albums as events arise and I want to try and get up some albums from past events. So check back, there will definitely be more to come. Leave a comment or two and let me know what you think, of the photos and the new photo album site. I may be 29 but I still act like a 5 year old at times
20. I hate winter

IlloFriday: Escape

So its been way too long since I last posted on here. Yeah I can hear Jordan now busting my chops saying that last time I came back from a hiatus I said I was going to post more consistently and then didn't post at all. Well I went without an internet connection at my new house for almost 4 week and I almost lost it. Things are finally back up and running and I'm going to try hard to keep up with my posting, If in the least posting an IlloFriday every week. On that note, here's my illo for this weeks topic, escape. I had this finished on Monday but Blogger hasn't been letting me post anything. But nonetheless here it is. My hoopty, the etcher-mobile, in all its old and run down glory. I bought it when it was just a year old back in '97 with very few miles on it. Now, in 2005 with over 120,000 miles, a few trips from Mass to Florida and back, two hit & runs, one small fender bender and a whole lot of snow Ive decided its seen better days and its time to say goodbye. This picture barely does justice of the rough shape this car is actually in, it was on its very last leg.

Posted by Picasa

For those of you who know me, know Im a yankees fan and also know that I have had that Yankees vanity plate on the front of the car for almost as long as Ive owned the car. Thanks Jeff ;) Well it too has seen better days and I have decided to let that plate sink with the ship. Most of you up here in Mass are very enthusiastic about this especially since I now have Mass plates, which are required to be in the front and back, which means no vanity plate replacement. I have also decided to return the Florida plates to my dad and let him begin a new generation of etcher-mobile, it is after all his business. So drum roll please....I present...the new ride...

Posted by Picasa

2005 Black Jeep Wrangler SE. 4 Wheel Drive. 6 Cylinder Automatic. Soft top, A/C & CD player. Can I just say I absolutely love this Jeep! It fits me to a T. Im sure the enthusiasm will wear off eventually, but for now I cant help but have permagrin every time I drive it. Its great driving down the interstate with the top down on a beautiful day. Its also great knowing that if I, for some silly reason, forget to put up my windows and there is a terrential down pour, all I have to do to drain the three inches of water that could gather on the drivers side floor is lift up the carpet and pull the drain plugs. I can also breathe easy knowing that the seats dry almost instantly and one would only need to sit on a towel to keep ones clothes from becoming damp. I think I read all about that in a brochure or on the web, it doesnt come from first hand experience, I mean come on...its only a week old, would I do something silly like that? I must also comment that Im even more excited about it because its my very first brand new vehicle. Ive only owned the '88 Chevy Cavalier and the '96 Mitsubishi Mirage and bought both of those used. Ive worked really hard and I think I deserve a new vehicle. Watch out kids, Im moving up in the world...Im getting a little bit older, a little bit wiser and deeper in debt, isnt life grand ;)

IlloFriday: Sport

Dont ask me why I came up with tennis, Ive never played nor do I watch it on TV. So this weeks illo topic is heroes. I must honestly say the very first thing I thought about was a sandwich! I cant help it I love food. So I went and fed my stomach and the second thing that I thought of is the US Military. In the last few years my life has been surrounded by the military. I would say a good majority of my friends are all in the military, different branches and different states. I figured I would use this weeks topic to honor them for not only working hard within an organization that fights for our countries freedom but also because they are some of the greatest people I have met. They have become some of my closest friends and I know I can count on them for anything. My thought is, if you dont have friends and family to help you through the bad times and to enjoy the good times with, what do you have? I hope everyone has a safe and Happy 4th!

IlloFriday: Black & White

Posted by Hello

So I figured id come back full swing and start off with an Illustration Friday post. One thing we truely enjoy is food day. Everyone brings in a dish of something and we pick and snack all day. Well today we had a penny candy day. You know penny candy...wax lips, rootbeer barrels, wax bottles, buttons etc. One of my co-workers was great enough to bring in a bunch of retro toys and things to decorate the table and everyone brought in a type of penny candy to share...check out the pics below of our penny candy day table. These are the things that make my tough days at work a bit easier!

Posted by Hello

Posted by Hello

So this is what I did to the cube of one of the guys I work with while he was away on vacation this past week. Why you might ask? Well, one night it was past work hours (probably close to 8pm) and I had thought everyone had gone home for the night. I was still working hard at my cube, seriously I had blinders on to anything outside of my computer screen. My cube is in the basement level of the building (of which is haunted) but I do have a ground level window. This window has a huge shrub in front of it so you really cant see in from the ground level. Well the previously mentioned guy was nice enough to scare the crap out of me that night by throwing pebbles at the window. When I stood up to look out the window I could just barely see him and this mischievous smirk. Sooo...this is what happens when you pick on me constantly and then scare the crap out of me, or if im really bored ;) Well tomorrow morning should be interesting. Yeah and he also has a meeting first thing in the morning in the conference room. Its a weekly meeting and everyone sits in the same chair every week and, yup you guessed it, I covered that chair in tin foil too!

So I had originally seen this commercial (click on the top commercial of the three) for Diet Coke and was instantly hooked. I still havent figured out if thats good or not. Im assuming since I love food its probably a good thing. On that note...Im going to a fondue party tomorrow night. It should be a really good time...i mean how bad can it be? Good food + good wine/beer + good friends = Good times! Im stoked. And in true Betty Crocker fashion I decided that we couldnt just have cheese and chocolate to dip our food into. No way...too boring. So I decided to make some fun sauces from scratch. 2 Hot sauces: a Peanut Butter sauce and a Sweet and Sour sauce. 2 Chilled sauces: a Dill sauce and a Horseradish sauce. Hopefully they will taste good and noone will become ill ;)

Jukebox Off 2005

Last weekend was an adventure to say the least. I made yet another trip from Beantown to the Big Apple. This was no ordinary trip, for no ordinary visit made by no ordinary girl (yes thank you to those who know what movie that is derived from) I made the treck Fung Wahless...yes you heard me correctly, no Fung Wah! I did travel with some friend this time, which made the drive seem alot shorter. Purpose of this trip you may ask? Our friend Chalrie was part of a Jukebox Off. The 1st Annual "Bubble" Jukebox Off 2005 NYC. So heres the deal two crazy kids, Charlie and Raj, battle on the jukebox in a tiny pub, Bailey's, in the "Bubble". The guys have 3 alternating rounds of 5 songs. Goal: impress the crowd, make em dance, make em sing, make em have a good time even if they dont want to! At the end of each round score sheets were tallied and a round winner was announced. After three rounds...well no suprise its a tie. So tie breaker is this...gentlemen choose two songs to be entered into the jukebox by the MC and the crowd will choose blindly on their favorite set. And the winner is.....Charlie! WooHoo!!! But we already saw that coming now didnt we ;) It was an absolutely fantastic time. Good beer, good friends, good times!
Check out the small sampling of photos that I put together in this album. I should be getting back into the regular swing of things by the end of the week. Two things I would like to mention....
1. Im going to be sappy for a moment and say that I heard the sweetest thing the other day. Yeah sure maybe Ive heard it before but it gets me everytime. Someone made a comment about their significant other being their "cool breeze". Hot summer day, along comes a nice cool breeze, its one of the best feelings in the world and to have that feeling about another person is just awesome.
2. And this one goes out to ChaCha....i was watching tv the other nite. That new dating show Next on MTV. Yeah Yeah I know, but it was the first time id ever seen it and it was pritty funny. Point of story is...there was a girl who made a comment that eating is a chore. She only eats because she has to. ChaCha your not the only one, there are others...do you think she may be a long lost alien sibling? She did have red hair and was a little bit wacky.

So what do The Crow and Sin City have in common?

Great graphic novels

Great Directors

Great Actors

Great attention to detail

Great movies!

So I just went and saw Sin City on Sunday and it was absolutely fabulous. The whole movie was done in black and white except for certain times when a splash of color would be added in for emphasis. Just like The Crow, the details of Sin City were pulled from the graphic novel to a T. There was a lot of voilence but because it was all in traditional comic book form it wasnt the least bit violent. I higly recommend this movie. Im definitely grabbing this one on DVD.

***

Chána - this one is for you. I mean we were supposed to get 5-10 inches of snow and we ended up with rain and some slush. Hey Im definitely all for no snow but man you tell people around here that theres going to be a snow storm and they get thair panties all in a bunch, you'd think you were in Florida during hurricane season. You mention rain and the whole state buys every piece of food from the food store and every piece of wood from Home Depot. Its just some slush, you wont starve to death nor will you freeze to death. Oops shouldnt have said that, I think a few people just left to go buy more blankets.
So I went to the gym today and filled out a request for a personal trainer. Im stoked! I figure its the best thing for me to do. I have a goal and a date to reach my goal by. I figure by getting a personal trainer ill actually meet my goal. I know if I didnt get a trainer I would set a goal and a date and procrastinate like I do with everything else, and we know with working out you just cant wait til the last minute. Im also hoping it will get me on a regular routine which will help me destress and lower the amount of migraines I get. Definitely a good thing!
Anyone else besides me watching basketball? Im in a Sweet 16 pool at my work. Its actually a really good pool, I was in it last year, but alas didnt win =( This is a no thinking kind of pool. Our names are matched up with teams randomly. Heres the catch of it...if your team loses but covers the spread, you still win and take over the winning team and move on to the next bracket. I have Villanova. Great if they win, potentially even better if they lose but cover the spread because then I would take over North Carolina...definitely not too shabby a team to have. My game is tomorrow so we shall see.
Ok, only a couple random thoughts for the day....

Watch the video of the octopus, who knew?

How to really confuse your party guests.

Good band, good song, good animation...definitely along the lines of Schoolhouse Rock!

Jordan, will this be found in your shopping cart next? Man there are some really good classic tv series I would love to get on DVD, but thats for another post.

Every feel you artwork deserves to be in say...the Met...Bansky did, check out what he recently did.

Side note...50 First Dates is on AGAIN. How can anyone watch the entire show with out wanting to pulling all your own hair out?
So I was just made aware of this contest that one of our local radio stations, WBCN, is running. Its like a pool for March madness but its all bands. You have to sign up for a free account to play, but its painless. Basically they have set up brackets of bands and you choose who you think will win each bracket. Whats the criteria for a band to win you might ask...well theres a day and time for each bracket and the listeners have a chance to call in during that brackets time and vote for your favorite of the two. 64 bands, only one will win....but will you pick the right one and win a prize? 1 grand prize winner will gain a 42" plasma TV, 2 leather recliners and a playstation 2. Should be fun I think, check it out here, its under March Mania 2005.
So your driving down the Zakim bridge when all of a sudden it turns into a giant game of frogger, except your the frog and instead of cars coming at you its giant pieces if snow and ice falling from the top of the bridge! Oh geez! Thats what happened yesterday. Friday was March 11...or more commonly known...311 day!
So my sister, ChaCha as shes more commonly known, loves the band 311. She rides down the street, windows down, 311 tunes cranking. She loves to see other people wearing 311 merch and applauds them for being "in the know". Shell do her best to help those not "in the know" become one who is "in the know".
ChaCha has a bit of a problem though, shes slightly obsessed. She bases her vacations up to visit me around concert tour dates. Which definitely rocks because I wouldnt miss a show either but man I know she wouldnt come up when she does if it wasnt for the shows. She used to only get a 6 piece nugget and small fries at McDs because it came to $3.11 and she always asked for a receipt. She has a picture of the house numbered 311 on Mass Ave. This has all rubbed off on myself and my family. When I was working at a bar I found myself printing up checks whose ticket numbers were 311. I even found myself taking a picture of some random apartment that was #311. But the funniest is when my mom brought her a cupcake one year on 311 day, it even had a candle in it!
I knew of 311 way back in the day but now I must say I have become a much bigger fan thanks to ChaCha. So if you dont know....go here and get to know! 311 rocks!!!!

One more thought for the night....

ok I just came across this blog and just about pissed my pants....these two posts are soooo true and sooo funny. No, JMG, I did not secretly enjoy watching the last few minutes of the OC. How did I get conned into watching it again? So I guess the question is...Star Wars or Star Trek? Definitely Star Wars for me...I used to have R2D2 & C3PO figurines, I had some Star Wars trading cards and I do currently own the Star Wars collectors edition Nintendo 64 Game System with the Pod Racer Game. Yeah I'm a geek, I know.
So you want some free MP3s from ITunes? Check this little tidbit out. Makes me feel like I'm in high school again, cheating on some economics test or something. Speaking of ITunes...chacha was kind enough to give me her free download, awww what a good sister :) So I used it the other day and got JLo - Get Right. I really dig that song, it just makes me want to dance.
Yesterday I got my pre-ordered boxes o Girl Scout cookies. I tore open the first box of thin mints and ate my little ration of two cookies. Its funny with sweets and cookies and such I can so ration and only eat a tiny little bit and be satisfied but if its real food, like pasta, forget it I just can't stop eating. At the rate that Ill eat these cookies I hope the 4 boxes I bought don't get freezer burn before I can finish eating them. You laugh but its happened before.
There's this website, Gothamist, that's all about NY written by New Yorkers. Work has just been so crazy these last few weeks that the last thing I want to do when Im home (that is when I actually get to go home and dont end up sleeping at work) is go on my computer. I met my deadline and launched version one of one of the companies websites and now im hard at work on version two which will be launched in about three or four weeks. Man I look forward to that deadline like no other because then I get some time off...and its comp time...not vacation time, not personal time, not sick time...but comp time, the boss' time! That makes it even that much more enjoyable. No celebrating yet, I actually have to make it in one piece and deliver the finished site before I get my reward.
Aside from work, well the weather has been equally crappy! I got to spend an hour this morning trying to unfreeze the locks on my car doors. Yeah I know I should have just left them unlocked..well they are tonight! Were supposed to get another storm this friday, joy, more snow and ice. Man I love New England! And for those of you who have gotten to escape this place for a few weeks and are enjoying much warmer weather than here, even though you went for work, you all suck! And Shaun no Whistler isnt colder than here....its actually 15 degrees warmer!
Well isnt everyone glad Im back to writting and Ive filled this whole entry up with nothing but complaints ;)
Hey it could be worse...I could have a mouse in my house. The deadline is drawing near and the pressure is really starting to build. I finalized the layout and design of the websiteand tomorrow I get to start the whole deconstruction of the mockup and actually build the site. Only a few more weeks til deadline and project completion and then I can relax...a little bit.

So I painted my nails the other night. Yeah go figure, I dont paint my nails...ever...Im a clear polish kinda girl. I do however really dig black polish. I figured eh what the heck. So I painted my nails black and wouldnt ya know it they have already started chipping! I touched them up tonight and I have just noticed as Im typing another one has chipped!

So yesterday I went to the movies with some friends and we saw Sideways. Its a Fox Searchlight Film...that actually tells you alot. They put out Napoleon Dynamite, Garden State and Waking Life. All very eclectic character study type movies..all of which I really enjoyed. So back to Sideways...its about two old friends who set off on a road trip prior to ones wedding "only to veer dizzily SIDEWAYS into a wry, comedic exploration of the crazy vicissitudes of love and friendship" Main characters are played by Paul Giamatti (love him as the blue guy in Big Fat Liar) and Thomas Haden Church from the USA TV series Wings. The characters complimented each other really well and I thought these two were the perfect actors for the part. This movie is based on a novel by Rex Pickett...think I might just have to pick it up. So yesterday I also watched the movie Go. Which I had seen before. So the drug dealer in the movie is played by Timothy Olyphant and man let me tell you last night it was driving me crazy as to what I last saw him in. The president of the company, the production manager, the assistant production manager and myself are all in the office waiting for this guy to call. So we end up on the phone with this guy explaining, for the second time, what exactly were looking for. We continue to explain and explain and explain and roll our eyes as we explain again. I think at one point I was actually confused as to what we were doing, if that's possible. I know when we hung up the phone we were like "Holy Crap! He has no clue!" and that poor guy when he hung up must have been like "Holy Crap! I have no clue!" Well I'm sure he's enjoying his smacking dose of reality. He said he'd reassess and call us back. I don't know if I can handle another call like that! Needless to say the day was filled with crazy amounts of work, training someone to do my maintenance work incase I need to travel and the usual 50 some odd meetings. My day, unfortunately, ended with a huge migraine.

The Thought Project - this is really kool, I only skimmed a couple of the shots today but I dig knowing what people are/were thinking. Its like reading a piece of someones journal and the photos just help bring it all to life.

A Sketch Journal - if you cant read their journal why not check out their sketches. A bit strange but I dig em.

This is exactly how I feel when I go to the airport, everytime I go to the airport. I usually get picked "randomly" for drug checks on my backpack. I know I look young and all but come on kid, give me a break. I got pulled twice for extra security checks on my way home for thanksgiving and then got pulled again on the flight back. JEEZ!

Sitting at work today, listening to my ITunes playing Virgin Radio and Bill Monroe's Sweet Home Alabama comes on. Man that song brings back a lot of memories when all the boys still lived here in Mass...and you too Laurie ;) Good Times! Well all you have to do is come to Mass and pick a street and drive down it. The walls of snow just keep growing and growing. Its so bad, that you have to inch out of parking lots to get onto the main street. I mean inch out, you inch and inch and..wow I can finally see...too bad im in the middle of the street and a semi is headed straight towards me....lets see just how fast my car will actually move!

Did you know its possible to fishtail your car at a speed of about 5 miles an hour? Yeah well it is.

You know theres alot of snow when your driving down the road thats three lanes and you see a sign that says "right lane must turn right" and you cant seem to find that right lane!

If you own a car in the Boston area and its not in a driveway or specified parking lot....more than likely your gonna get it towed if you dont move it. We decide to drink a bit and watch Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. Man that show is just an absolute riot! 9am rolls around and were all up. We look out the window and low and behold...30 inches of snow! Wind gusts like no other. So we figure eh, were up, might as well start shoveling. So after an hour and a half my roommate, his girlfriend, a friend of ours who stayed over, one neighbor from upstairs (the only neighbor out of 6 that actually came out to help) and myself managed to shovel the entire driveway and the sidewalk. Theres no place to put the snow theres so much of it! (My digital camera is all jacked up at the moment otherwise Id have included some pics.) 1pm rolls around and yes its time for another round of Shovel the Driveway!! WooHoo..my favorite game. My roommate and his girlfriend left the house to make their way to her house to check on her dogs. They said the roads havent really been plowed that well and there arent any plows in sight. I have friends whose streets havent seen a plow at all yet nor will they. I do know that Ill have to shovel one more time before the game tonight and I think that will be my last bit o shoveling for the day! Its amazing how when you can leave your house and you choose not to your fine but the one time when you really cant leave, or its really difficult to leave, you feel like you just have to or else youll go stir crazy? Well thats about where I stand now. I want to go out and catch the game somewhere, I just dont want to get stuck there without my car, especially if I have to go to work on Monday. If theres no work Monday then thats a different story. Man have I mentioned how much I hate the snow?

Let it snow!

So I spent a good majority of my Saturday at the garage getting my car fixed, again. As I sit there reading my book, I can see the snow just starting to come down. By the time my car is ready and I can leave the snow is really starting to come down. Boston is under a blizzard warning. Were expecting to recieve 20 - 30 inches total over today and Sunday. Wind gusts up to 65, maybe 75 mph. This will be one of the fifth worst snowstorms in recorded history for Boston. There is potential for power outages and whiteouts. They are strongly encouraging people to stay indoors. It is said "If you leave the safety of being indoors you are putting your life at risk." Well then. We know Im not even stepping one foot outside! Man all I can think of is how much I just dont want to have to shovel tomorrow. I mean come on, theres a big football game to be watched! I dont have time to shovel ;) Snow sucks!
